The untimely death of Chadwick Boseman left many Black Panther fans unsure about the continuation of the Black Panther sequel.
Fans around the world have been wondering whether Marvel will get a replacement for Chadwick or use Computer Generated Imagery of him. As a replacement, fans proposed the passing down of the Black Panther role to Shuri, the younger sister of T’challa.
However, earlier this week, Marvel Producer and Studio president, Kevin Feige cleared the air when he announced that they will neither use a CG of Chadwick nor use another person to act as T’Challa. This decision by Marvel is to honor the legacy of Chadwick Boseman who brought the superhero character, Black Panther, to life despite his condition at the time the movie was acted.
Feige was quoted saying, “Ryan Coogler is working very hard now on the script with all the respect and love and genius that he has, which gives us great solace.” Fans can now rest reassured that Black Panther two, whilst honoring Chadwick will not be less exciting than Black Panther 1.
Feige revealed that Black Panther 2 could cover the journey of T’challa as king till his death. Then, one of the main characters of Black Panther may be elevated to the throne to avoid recasting and using a CG of Boseman. Black Panther 1 had huge box office sales after its release in 2018 and was nominated for a couple of awards.
Fans are expecting nothing less for the second part and anxiously waiting to see how the story of Wakanda and the tribes living within the fictious Wakanda kingdom will be continued.
